As friends and family gathered around her, the “I Feel Everything” singer said music gave her the wake-up call she so desperately needed.
“The music really saved me at that time,” she continued. “I was alone in a hotel room and a song came on on shuffle, and it was the song that had been played at the funeral of a friend who had died of an overdose. When I was on the brink of ending my life, it all happened so quickly.”
she recalls. “I was like, ‘What am I doing?'” Why am I doing this? I can’t believe I’m here. ” and threw all the drugs down the toilet. ”
Of course, Carla admitted that he also met his girlfriend of four years. Minke (Real name Leah Mason).
“We went to school together and from the moment we went back to school,–“When we met after school, I was like, ‘Hmm, you make me feel safe.’ And that’s something I’ve never felt before, and it’s scarier than anything I’ve ever been in a relationship with, because in that moment, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m starting to realize how bad this is,'” she revealed.
Carla soon realized that her girlfriend was part of her healing journey.
“I was honest with her from the beginning,” she said. “I was like, ‘We have a problem.'”
