Morgan Wallen breaks SNL’s COVID-19 protocols
Wallen was scheduled to appear as a musical guest on SNL in October 2020, but was removed from the show for failing to follow COVID-19 guidelines after photos and videos of the musician partying in Alabama were leaked online.
“I was preparing, SNL I got a call from the show this Saturday and was informed that I would no longer be able to appear on the show. It’s because of COVID protocols and I understand that,” Warren said in a video shared to social media at the time. “I’m not positive about COVID, but my actions this past weekend were very short-sighted and obviously affected my long-term goals and dreams.”
The cast of “Last Night” took responsibility for their actions.
“On a more personal note, I think I have some things to do to grow,” he continued. “I think I’ve lost myself a little bit. I’ve been trying to find joy in the wrong places and, I don’t know, it’s diminished my joy. So I’m going to work on that. I’m going to take a step back from the spotlight for a little while and work on myself.”
Wallen had the opportunity to appear on SNL again in December of the same year, while Jack White was a musical guest. He even teased this incident in one of his sketches.
