King Charles III and Queen Camilla receive royal treatment in the United States.
The British monarch and his wife, who have been together for 21 years, crossed the pond on April 27 to commemorate 250 years since the United States announced its independence from Britain.
Upon landing at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, the royal couple disembarked and were greeted with flowers by the children of British military families based in the United States. He then headed to Washington, D.C., where he was welcomed. President Donald Trump and first lady melania trump.
After posing for photos in front of the White House, the world leaders went inside for a private tea. Later that day, Charles and Camilla will tour the White House beehive and attend a garden party at the residence of the British ambassador to the United States.
A formal welcoming ceremony for the King and Queen will be held at the White House on April 28th.
Buckingham Palace confirmed in late March that Prince William and Prince Harry’s father, King Charles, and Queen Camilla would visit Bermuda before continuing their tour of British territory.
