The award-winning actress known for her roles in Beetlejuice, Schitt’s Creek and Home Alone has died. You can check it on the news. She was 71 years old. Her death came just weeks after she skipped the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where she was nominated for her work on The Studio.
In fact, O’Hara’s last public appearance was more than four months ago, at the Apple TV afterparty following the 2025 Emmy Awards on September 14, where she attended to celebrate the show’s record-breaking 13th win.
The actress attended the party with her husband Beau Welch, with whom she shares sons Matthew and Luke. She was all smiles in a high-neck, floor-length black peplum dress and carried a matching clutch as she posed with Solo and Welch on the red carpet.
The couple also attended the Emmy Awards that same day, where O’Hara was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Patti Lee in The Studio, marking her 13th career Primetime Emmy nomination. She previously won for Schitt’s Creek and SCTV Network.
