Stranger Things’ Jamie Campbell Bower talks about Vecna’s shocking transformation
There’s something upside down about Vecna’s new look.
The terrifying Stranger Things villain, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, reappeared during the first volume of the Netflix drama’s fifth and final season, leaving fans asking, “How big is her waist?”
Amidst all the chatter about her new look, Jamie is sharing her secret.
An X fan wrote, “Why is Vecna so different? The branches on her shoulders? Maybe her waist is smaller?” Jamie jokingly replied, “Zumba.”
After being burned and beaten by Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) at the end of season 4, Venka (official name Henry Creel) returns to terrorize the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, with the tendrils on his shoulders and head significantly longer as a result of his injuries from the previous season. And while he looked wide elsewhere, he is noticeably smaller than when he first appeared last season.
For the 37-year-old, Vecna’s transformation, which took an eight-hour make-up and prosthetics process, is the perfect expression of his reign of terror.
