Nick Lachey shares valuable insight on ‘unexpected’ newlywed show with ex Jessica Simpson
Vanessa Lachey and Nick Lachey are blind when it comes to the part of reality TV production.
The Love Is Blind co-hosts, who married 14 years ago, have revealed they are no longer allowed on set when couples on the Netflix show meet for the first time after leaving their pods.
“We were all there for the unveiling,” Vanessa told Parade in a video released on Oct. 8. “So when they showed up on the red carpet, it was me and it was Nick. There was the glamor girls there, there was the costume design, there was the sound. Everyone was there.”
But having what she estimated to be “maybe 50” people behind the camera during the contestants’ key moments became too distracting.
“It got to the point where it got too loud,” Vanessa explained, imitating the gasps the crew would make as a newly engaged couple walked through the door and onto the carpet. “(The film crew) was like, ‘Shh!’
And the 44-year-old said she and Nick have been banned from watching the reveal show since the show first aired.
