A 69-year-old truck driver suffered serious injuries fight Prosecutors say it was started by the former NFL quarterback and sports analyst Mark Sanchez He is currently suing Sanchez and his employer, Fox Corporation, in Indiana Court.

Perry Toll’s attorney filed the lawsuit Monday, seeking an unspecified amount in actual punitive damages and attorney’s fees. The lawsuit accused Sanchez of inciting a fight with Thor late on Saturday night outside the Indianapolis hotel, causing “severe, permanent loss of appearance, functioning” and other injuries and emotional distress.

Police said Tore stabbed Sanchez several times in the fight. A photo of Thor circulating online shows him in a neck brace of a hospital bed covered in blood with deep slashes on the side of his face.

Fox Corporation’s media contact did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Tuesday. The lawyer representing Sanchez in his criminal case declined to comment on the case.

The attorney representing Tole in the lawsuit requested a trial for the ju judge but did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Sanchez faces felony battery charging, along with several misdemeanor claims. Prosecutors said Monday was a fight over parking.

“We’re literally talking about the fight over parking spaces and the controversy over where people park, and it’s become someone who’s incredibly seriously injured,” Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said at a news conference Monday.

According to a police affidavit, Sanchez, 38, smelled of alcohol, ordered Torre, who backed up his truck to the loading dock at a hotel in downtown Indianapolis. In Tole’s lawsuit, Sanchez entered Tole’s truck without permission, then physically blocked it and pressed Tole to soak Sanchez with Pepper Spray.

When Sanchez advanced after being sprayed, Tole pulls a knife to protect himself, authorities said.

According to a police affidavit, Sanchez was hospitalized with a stab wound in the upper right torso.

Sanchez was in Indianapolis for Fox’s coverage of Sunday’s game between the Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sanchez had a 10-year NFL career before retiring in 2019. He spent four seasons with the Jets and also appeared in games with Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington.

He appeared on ABC and ESPN for two years before joining Fox Sports as a gaming analyst in 2021.
