super microcomputer Shares fell 6% on Thursday after the company announced weak preliminary results for the first quarter of fiscal 2026.

The server maker said it expects revenue of $5 billion for the quarter, a downward revision from the company’s previously announced guidance of $6 billion to $7 billion.

Supermicro said “design win upgrades” pushed some of its expected first-quarter sales into the second quarter.

“Customer demand is accelerating, we are gaining AI share, and we reiterate that we expect more, with revenue expected to be at least $33 billion in fiscal 2026,” Supermicro CEO Charles Liang said in a statement.

Supermicro said it has “recent design wins” worth more than $12 billion, with delivery requested during the second quarter of its fiscal year.

The company plans to provide further updates on expected second-quarter deliveries and revenue during its Nov. 4 earnings call, when it will formally report first-quarter results.
