Noah Wyle is working hard on Season 3 of The Pit.
Following Season 2 (which centered around a 15-hour shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center on July 4, 10 months after the tragic events of Season 1), the show’s star and executive producer revealed when the next season of the medical drama will take place.
As Noah explained, “It’s important to give the seasons a little bit of variation. That can give you a more diverse case.”
“In the winter, you see more car accidents, more black ice, more boilers exploding, things like that,” he told People magazine in an April 17 interview. “A different wardrobe means a different atmosphere.”
That said, the 54-year-old said the “plan” for season 3 is to focus on “late fall.”
How does the series’ writing team decide on season dates?
“Close your eyes, flip through the calendar and throw darts,” Noah joked.
Details about season 3 have not been revealed yet, but there will be major changes in the cast, including Supriya Ganesh leaving the role of Dr. Samira Mohan.
