Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson
Anna’s younger sister, who appeared in Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and later appeared with her mother in Mama June: Hot Not to Hot, posted a photo on her Instagram. “This is one of those posts I wish I didn’t have to make. Last night, we all surrounded Anna with love and told her it was okay to go. Unfortunately, around 11pm, Anna passed away,” she wrote to Lamb.
He added: “Anna was in so much pain last night and we all know as a family that she is now at peace. We are completely heartbroken and don’t know what to say. It hasn’t been easy watching her struggle. Lord, wrap your arms around her two babies and our family. In just a few days, everything will become reality.”
While undergoing cancer treatment, Anna was able to watch her younger sister graduate from high school. Alana is currently attending university.
“I’m so glad you waited until I got home until I took my last breath!” the 18-year-old wrote. “I wanted to see you graduate from college, and I know you’ll be cheering me on forever in heaven! We’ll all make sure your legacy lives on forever, and I promise to make sure to celebrate our birthdays like you never left!”
Alana continued, “The skies look a little different today. We love you forever Anna. You hit me hard about Anna, but I know you’re in a better place now and free of pain forever!”
