“Tierney and Brady elevated and centered queer characters as fully realized protagonists whose desires, conflicts, and tenderness are treated with dignity,” said Dr. Carla Smith, CEO of the center, ahead of the event. “By championing our voices, they have brought queer joy and storytelling to mainstream media, producing work that affirms and advances our communities.”
The series premiered on HBO in November and quickly became a phenomenon as fans fell in love with the love story between Shane and Elijah, as well as the romance between Scott Hunter, played by Francois Arnaud, and Kip Grady, played by Robbie Graham-Kuntz.
Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait that long for their favorite hockey players to return to action. In fact, the show’s production team hopes to premiere in April 2027.
Jacob also confirmed in February that filming for the series would begin in August, adding to Gayle King on CBS Morning: “We’re writing right now, and we’re getting ready to start filming this summer. We’ll have an even more heated rivalry on your televisions as soon as humanly possible.”
