Former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax shot and killed his wife, suspected of murder-suicide

A former government official is at the center of a horrific tragedy.
Justin FairfaxA Democrat who served as Virginia’s lieutenant governor from 2018 to 2022 has died in an apparent murder-suicide in which he shot his wife. Dr. Selina Fairfax Local authorities later confirmed that he himself had been at the couple’s Annandale home.
Fairfax County Police Chief: “I do know he has been served some form” kevin davis He spoke at a press conference on April 16th. “Apparently the paperwork indicated when he would next appear in court. That may have been the trigger.”
However, police are still investigating the motive, and Davis added: “Detectives will be here to determine what caused this tragedy.”
Fairfax, 47, and Serena, 49, met as students at Duke University and married in 2006. They are the parents of two teenage children, a son and a daughter, and both were home at the time of the shooting. Police said their son made the initial 911 call.
“The mother was shot and killed, separated from her children, and then took her own life,” Davis said.
