The closest challenger is second-place Chelsea, winners of July’s FIFA Club World Cup and with a team worth more than $1 billion. However, for a team that won the UEFA Conference League trophy last season, they may be ahead of the curve when it comes to winning a serious title.

What do Arsenal think about going to Chelsea?
Arsenal manager Arteta says second-placed Chelsea “deserve” to be considered favorites to win the Premier League.
Despite their good form, Enzo Maresca’s young Chelsea side are still seen as a distant contender for the Premier League title.
However, Arteta is not underestimating his opponent.
“Because they deserve to be there,” he told reporters about Chelsea on Friday.
“Given what they’ve accomplished over the last few years, the team they’ve assembled, the numbers they have, the quality they have, the number of coaches they have, it’s no surprise that what’s going on there is very, very positive and they deserve to be there.”
The former Arsenal and Spain midfielder said Chelsea were one of the teams he enjoyed watching the most.
“They’re very fluid, they have a lot of threats, they have a lot of individual talent, they’re very clear about what they want to do, and that’s why they’re so tough,” he said.
“Obviously, this is a big game, a big London derby. We’re going to play a really, really good opponent. They’re in very good form and we understand the challenge and we know we’ll have a chance on Sunday as well, so we’re fully prepared for that.”
Is Chelsea really the biggest threat to Arsenal?
The match against Arsenal will be the toughest test of Chelsea’s title credentials.
Brazilian forward Estevao has quickly established himself at Chelsea and has been one of the most exciting players this season, scoring nine goals in his last 13 games for club and country.
The 18-year-old, who joined from Palmeiras in the summer, has been one of the main reasons for the Blues’ good run in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s title defense is in jeopardy, with nine defeats in 12 competitive games, and manager Arne Slott is under increasing scrutiny. The Reds travel to West Ham on Sunday.
Manchester City could temporarily move into second place if they beat Leeds United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

When was the last time Arsenal won the Premier League?
Riding a wave of optimism and growing confidence, Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles will end their long wait for a first league title since 2004, when they went unbeaten throughout their top-flight campaign.

chelsea team news
Cole Palmer has returned from a toe injury sooner than expected and will return for Chelsea’s game against leaders Arsenal on Sunday.
The England international forward sustained injuries in an accident at his home. However, Chelsea manager Maresca admitted he is in contention to start against Arsenal.
“It’s good news to have Cole back. Everyone is happy,” Maresca said. “He helps us a lot. He is definitely our best player and we are happy to have him back. Now we have to give him time to be 100 percent fit. He has performed well so far and will definitely do very good things for this club in the future.”
Palmer has been out since September with a groin injury. He was close to making a comeback but injured his toe, missing out on last weekend’s win against Burnley and Tuesday’s Champions League win against Barcelona.

Leandro Trossard faces a test of his availability for Arsenal after being substituted in the first half of the game against Bayern Munich in midweek.
Defender Gabriel is still recovering after sustaining an unspecified injury while playing for Brazil earlier this month.
