Actor Awards 2026 Nominees: Cynthia Erivo, Gwyneth Paltrow, More Cynics & Surprises
The Best Actor nominations are ready for the curtain call.
The awards ceremony, formerly known as the SAG Awards, announced the lineup of nominees for the March 1 event, which celebrates the best that television and film had to offer throughout 2025. This year’s nominations were presented by Janelle James from Abbott Elementary School and Connor Storey from Heat Rivalry.
If actor nominations follow a similar pattern to Critics Choice and Golden Globe nominations, The Sinners, One Battle After Another, Hamnet and Marty Supreme will likely be among the top movie nominees, with nods to individual performances by Jesse Buckley, Michael B. Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet.
On the TV side, stars from shows like “Adolescence,” “The Pit” and “Severance” are likely to dominate the list. After all, Owen Cooper, Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham (all from Adolescence), and Katherine LaNasa and Tramell Tillman all won awards at the Critics Choice Awards.
