Charlie Sheen’s messy custody battle with ex-wife Dennis Richards
Sheen married Dennis Richards on June 15, 2002. Her daughter, Sami Sheen, was born on March 4, 2004, and Lora Sheen arrived on June 1, 2005, three months after Richards filed for divorce.
They temporarily settled, but by the beginning of 2006 the split had returned.
Richards allegedly in applying for a temporary restraining order in April, Sheen threatened to kill her.
Sheen denied the charges, but the judge ordered him to stay 300 feet away from her and her daughter for the time being during the supervised visit.
“Obviously, what happened is a sloppy, merciless, meritless, clear and immature smear campaign,” Sheen said in a statement according to ABC News. “(Richards) makes a claim to something specific. That’s unfounded.”
They reached custody that may have approved the divorce six months later, but a judge divorced six months later, and although friendly now, they have been in and out of court for years, and Richards was the target of Sheen’s infamous Twitter Tyrades.
