Brussels AP — The European Union on Friday indefinitely froze Russian assets in Europe to prevent Hungary and Slovakia, which have Russia-friendly governments, from blocking billions of euros from being used to aid Ukraine. The EU has used special economic emergency procedures to block Russia’s assets until it abandons its war against Ukraine and pays for the enormous damage it has caused to its neighbor over almost four years. EU Council President Antonio Costa said in October that European leaders “committed to locking up Russian assets until Russia ends its war of aggression in Ukraine and compensates for the damage…
Consumers are still eating out, but many are ordering more appetizers instead of more expensive entrees. While food inflation and affordability dominate conversations about U.S. consumers, new restaurant purchasing data shows that even among Americans who go to restaurants, many are considering eating less.”Entree orders are up 20% year-over-year, even though entrees and desserts are mostly flat or down,” said Jim Pazanese, executive vice president of global strategic sourcing at Buyer’s Edge Platform, which tracks supply chain data within the restaurant industry. “We’re seeing changes at the item level,” he said, with some popular appetizer sales for restaurateurs seeing growth…

“Then something happened when I was in Venice,” he explained. “I was there with my sister, my mom, and my dad, and during that applause, I saw them standing behind me, and I saw my agent, who I’ve known for 10 years, and I looked around and realized that I was exactly where I was meant to be all my life. And every day since I made this movie, I feel a kind of great peace in this industry that I’m in the right place, I’m meant to be here.” Director Guillermo also praised Jacob’s powerful performance, especially regarding the…
Everything is bigger in Texas. This also applies to data center demand in the Lone Star State, where project developers are rushing to cash in on the artificial intelligence boom. A combination of cheap land and cheap energy is drawing a slew of data center developers to the state. Energy experts say the potential demand is so huge that it will be impossible to meet it by the end of 2010. Speculative projects have clogged the pipelines that connect to the power grid, making it difficult to determine how much demand will actually be realized. However, if demand forecasts inflate…

The retailer saw strong sales and bottom line growth due to increased membership fees, increased net sales, and healthy profits. But the stock fell about 0.8% on Friday, indicating the positive news wasn’t enough to sway…
