Paypal announced Tuesday that it will enable users to pay for purchases directly within ChatGPT starting in 2026 using a protocol combined with OpenAI’s “instant checkout” feature. Paypal is powered by Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), an open source specification developed by OpenAI.
