BTS’ latest look is just dope.
In fact, at the 2026 American Music Awards held on May 25th, group members Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, and V made a dynamite entrance on the red carpet. The event, hosted by Queen Latifah at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be the group’s first awards show appearance in four years.
They enthusiastically performed their new song “Hooligan,” which they debuted in March, and got the show off to a great start. However, as reported by multiple news outlets, the septet did not actually take to the stage, but performed a pre-tap performance of the track recorded at the May 24th Las Vegas show of the Arirang World Tour. (That said, Queen Latifah teased that the group would appear at the awards ceremony.)
This year’s AMAs, where BTS is nominated for Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K-Pop Artist, also serves as a milestone for the band in more ways than one. After all, they made their US television performance debut at the 2017 event, becoming the first Korean group to appear on the show.
Their latest collaboration came after they went on a long hiatus in 2022 to fulfill military service in their native South Korea.
Since their return, BTS has not only released their 10th studio album, Arirang, but also announced an accompanying world tour earlier this year.
