Critics’ complaints about the iPhone 17 Pro’s fluorescent orange color aside, apple’s The “Cosmic Orange” smartphone has fascinated fans and investors.
The latest iPhone 17 series, which includes the base iPhone 17 and its high-performance Pro and skinny Air siblings (which, admittedly, also comes in colors other than orange), outsells previous models in the US and China, according to data from Counterpoint. In fact, the iPhone Air sold out within minutes of its release in China, the South China Morning Post reported.
Apple’s stock price soared nearly 4% on the news, closing at an all-time high. This should be welcome news for CEO Tim Cook and investors, as the company’s stock was one of the biggest laggards in the Magnificent 7 group. The increase gives Apple a year-to-date gain of about 5%. Nvidia’s 36% meta twenty five%.

President Trump calls for Ukraine to be partitioned from Russia after tense meeting with Zelensky
US President Donald Trump held a tense meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the White House on Friday, during which the possibility of supplying the US long-range cruise missile Tomahawk was a topic of discussion.
Not only did Zelensky walk away from the meeting empty-handed, but he appeared to be accused by Trump of saying that Ukraine should accept Russia’s terms of ending the war, which would be handing over the entire eastern territory of Donbas, the epicenter of ongoing fighting in Ukraine.
