Dylan Dreyer reacts to Hoda Kotb’s departure from ‘TODAY’ show and talks about who could replace her
Dylan Dreyer predicts a family reunion in the future.
The Today anchor revealed that she and Alix Earle share a familial connection during an interview with the Today influencer on May 12.
As Dylan explained to co-hosts Al Roker and Craig Melvin, “We’re also cousins.”
“Growing up, your dad is like one of seven. You have a lot of brothers and sisters,” Dylan told Alix about his father, Thomas “TJ” Earle, who is Dylan’s cousin. “I have a million cousins. There are about 100 of them on the Christmas cards I receive every year.”
Alix, who has four siblings, including fellow influencer Ashtyn Earle, agreed: “My family is big.”
In addition to confirming that the two are related, Alix also confessed that as a child, she almost pursued a career in broadcast journalism because she watched her cousin on TV “all the time.”
“I took a broadcasting course in college, or I was in a little club after school. I wasn’t very good at it, so I quit,” the Dancing with the Stars alum laughed. “But I always wanted to be like you.”
