Thinner will rebound in the third title of the season in Beijing, with a rebound from the recent US open final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz.

Jannik Sinner won the 21st title of his career by hitting American teenage learners Tien 6-2, 6-2 in the China Open Finals.
The Italian lifted his second trophy on Beijing’s hard court on Wednesday, and did it in his 2023 tournament debut, keeping an eye on his return to world number one.

The 24-year-old’s only loss at Beijing’s center diamond court was great rival and top-ranked Carlos Alcaraz, who won last year’s final with three grip sets.
“It’s a very special place for me,” said the victory sinner, who is the four-time Grand Slam champion and top seed this week.
Alkaraz has not defended his title in the Chinese capital and won the Japan Open in Tokyo on Tuesday.
The sinner quickly broke in the first set, on the way outstriking 19-year-old Tien, who was in the first ATP Finals.
“Congratulations on a great week, another title, an honor to share today’s court with you,” he later told World No. 2.
World Number 52 got a rare chance to break in the second game of the second set, but Sinner quickly got control again and finished the one-sided match with 10 aces in the 1 hour, 12 minutes final.

Sinners turn to the No. 1 ranking
Tien would have been Beijing’s lowest champion in tournament history.
At 19 years and 9 months, Tien would have been the second youngest American tour champion since Andy Roddick in 2002.
So he was not really there despite some flashes of his rich possibilities.
“You show what talent you are throughout the season,” Thinner said in the aftermath.
Thinner’s emphasis victory was his third title of the season after an Australian Open and a victory at Wimbledon.
The sinner may have a chance to snatch the top rankings before the season ends after Alkaraz withdraws from the master of Shanghai, where he was injured on Tuesday.
The Spaniard received the world’s number one ranking from the sinners when he defeated the Italians in the US Open Finals on September 7th.
The sinner will be Shanghai’s top seed, which began this week.
