Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid bounced back in highlight from La Liga’s defeat over weekend, winning a 5-0 victory over UEFA Champions League debutant Kairat Almaty on Tuesday.
Real had a humble 5-2 loss to city rival Atletico Madrid on Saturday, with Mbappe responding in style with five goals in the Champions League tally this season.

“We should never forget (what happened on Saturday). Yes, it’s a different competition, but we have to keep thinking about what happened last weekend, so we can learn from our mistakes and make sure it never happens again,” Mbappe told Movistar Plus.
“My job is to help the team, and I just think about doing what they can to win games and trophies.
“It’s when players like me have five chances and have to get all five, so Real Madrid bought me, so I always want more.

Real’s dominant displays put them in a strong position in the rankings, but Kairat is still searching for their first Champions League points, but left in defensive lapses on a challenging night.
