Italian race organizers say the participation of Israeli teams is likely to result in racial disruption.

The Israeli technology cycling team has been excluded from the Italian Giro Dell’emlia competition due to concerns over public safety, racial organizers said.
The decision, announced on Saturday, has caused some confusion by Palestinian protesters recently, as Vuelta took him to the streets of Spanish capital Madrid to block the participation of Israeli hosts’ technology and force them to cancel the final stage of the race.

It calls for Israel to be excluded from global sporting events. The Gaza invasion, which killed almost 66,000 Palestinians, is what the United Nations describe as “genocide,” calling for Israel to be excluded since the Gaza invasion.
“Following recent events, I had to abandon my team this year for the safety of all athletes, technical staff and audiences following the characteristics of the final circuit,” said Adriano Amici, organizer of Giro Dell’emilia on the day, which will be held on October 4th.
“We had to make this decision on the grounds of public safety,” Amichi told Reuters.
“There’s too much danger for both Israeli tech riders and others. With the final circuit of the race running five times, the chances of a race being suspended is very high,” he said.
Police in the Italian city of Milan clashed with pro-Palestinian protesters on Monday during a nationwide strike in Italy, when trade unions called to protest Israeli massacre in Gaza.
The Giro Dell’emilia race concludes with a climb to the Madonnadine Luca Sanctuary, not far from the historic centre of Bologna.
The local government in Bologna, ruled by the Central Left Democrats, called for the Israeli government to be removed from the race and noted the guilt in carrying out the “serious crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip.”
City Sports Councillor Roberta Lee Calzi welcomed the decision to exclude the Israeli team owned by Israeli-Canada property developer Sylvan Adams.
Adams, the president of the Israeli region of the World Jewish Conference, is called by his organization “committed to promoting Israel’s global image.”
“Given what’s going on in Gaza, it would have been hypocritical to think of this (Israel) government-related team as insignificant,” Kalzi said in a statement.
Israel is under pressure on all sides over a brutal war, and continues to ignore international calls to end the Palestinian massacre.
UEFA, the European football governing body, will soon vote on whether to suspend Israeli football teams. The Israeli side is in the midst of attempting to qualify for next year’s World Cup from all competitions under its jurisdiction. The 20-member UEFA Control Committee is expected to secure a majority to remove Israel from the game if its vote is called.
Members of the Eurovision Song Contest are expected to vote to exclude Israel from the 2026 competition due to the onslaught in Gaza.
