Microsoft On Friday, he said that the recommended retail prices for some US Xbox consoles will rise from October due to “changes in the macroeconomic environment.”

The company said it would not raise prices for accessories such as controllers and headsets, and prices in other countries remain the same.

Microsoft didn’t think it was explicitly attributed to the Trump administration’s tariffs, but many consumer companies have been warning for months that higher prices are ongoing. President Donald Trump issued tariffs to several countries this year.

“We understand that these changes are challenging and have been carefully considered,” Microsoft said on its website.

This is the second time Microsoft has raised the prices of US consoles this year. Rivals Sony and Nintendo have raised console prices in the US as Trump’s tariffs came into effect.

According to a PDF posted on Microsoft’s website, the following changes are:

The Xbox Series S starts at $399 from the previous $379. The 1TB storage version is $449.xbox Series X Digital Console priced at $599, an increase of $50. The Xbox Series X with a disk drive is the most expensive version with 2TB of storage, up from $799 at $729.
