During the season 21 finale of the Bachelorette, single alumni Gentran finally appeared to have scored a happy ending with her final pick Devin Stradder. However, Jen revealed that Devin gave her a cold shoulder as soon as the camera stopped rolling after the final returned in September 2024.
“He was making a bold declaration of love, so suddenly the next day he hadn’t done anything and he denied that he was in love,” Jen told host Jesse Palmer on the September 3rd episode. “Every promise he gave me, all the love he wanted to give me was no longer there.”
The drama continued when Devin shared a 13-minute video to share his side of the story on Instagram. There, in addition to taking “accountability,” she shared insights on why she ended the relationship with a 15-minute call.
Jen claimed he abandoned her during the August call, but he claimed he demanded that Jen know what was wrong when he tried to find a way to break the news directly.
“I really didn’t know what else to do,” he explained, saying he was waiting for him to speak to her in person. “She forced my hand.”
Jen then danced to the heart of her star, dance and partner Sasha Farber. The duo continued to dance together after the exclusion in October 2024, but split in 2025.
