Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip (AP) – Israel has increased attacks there, killing at least 32 people across Gaza city; urged Palestinians to evacuate, Medical staff reported on Saturday.

The deaths included 12 children, but the bodies were brought in, according to the Sifa Hospital morgue.

Israel has recently stepped up its strike across Gaza city, They destroy multiple skyscrapers and accus Hamas of putting in surveillance equipment. It ordered residents, part of the attack aimed at taking over Palestinian biggest city, which they say is Hamas’ last home, to leave. Hundreds of thousands of people remain there, struggling under conditions of hunger.

One of the strikes overnight, struck a home in Sheikhradwan district early Saturday morning, killing 10 families, including her mother and her three children, health officials said. Images showed the strike collided with smoke blowing afterwards.

Israeli troops did not immediately answer questions about the strike.

The number of people leaving has skyrocketed in recent weeks in the wake of hostilities and calls to evacuate cities, aid workers said. However, while many families are stuck due to the cost of transport and finding housing, others have been evacuated so many times that they don’t want to move again.

In a social media message on Saturday, Israeli troops told the rest of the Palestinians in Gaza city to “quickly” leave and move south to what it calls the Humanitarian Belt. Army spokesman Avichay Adraee said more than 150,000 people have left Gaza city.

However, the United Nations threw a number of people who left to about 100,000 between mid-August and mid-September. The United Nations and aid groups have warned that driving away hundreds of thousands would exacerbate a tragic humanitarian crisis. According to the United Nations, sites that Israel tells people to go are overcrowded and can cost money to travel that many people don’t have.

The UN-led initiative to bring temporary shelters to Gaza said it was waiting for clearance for more than 86,000 tents and other supplies to enter Gaza as of last week.

Gaza’s health ministry said on Saturday that seven people, including children, have died of malnutrition-related causes over the past 24 hours, raising the casualties to 420 people, including 145 children, since the war began.

A bombing of Israel on Friday night across Gaza city a few days later He launched a strike targeting leaders in Hamas in Qatar, It will strengthen campaigns against extremist groups and put negotiations at risk to end the war in Gaza.

The hostage families still being held in Gaza have pleaded Israel to stop the attack and are worried they will kill their relatives. There are still 48 hostages within Gaza, of which around 20 are believed to be alive.

The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas-led militants attacked southern Israel, luring 251 people and killing around 1,200, mostly civilians. Israeli retaliatory attacks have killed at least 64,803 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. Approximately half of those killed were women and children. Most of the metropolitan cities have been completely destroyed, with about 90% of the roughly 2 million Palestinians being displaced.
