Kody Brown once said, “Love should not be divided.”
And for decades he had multiple marriages to his wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown and Robin Brown.
“I just fell in love,” the 18-year-old father said in the first episode of 2010.
But he has since fallen from polygamy and love. Christine and Kody announced their parting in November 2021, while he and Janelle confirmed their separation in December 2022. A month later, Meri revealed her decision to “end forever” the marriage. As a result, Robin is Kodi’s only wife.
“I’m not a multi-marriage advocate, but I’ve had my own experiences and I’ve experienced my own mistakes,” he told people in December 2023.
And Kodi said it could work for some people, but he said, “There are marriages where there are people who know each other very well, and they still don’t work.”
Some of Kody’s exes have embraced monogamy, like Christine, who married David Woolley in 2023 and said on the show “not living polygamy again.” Others like Janelle say “we’ll consider multiple marriages again.”
As for his wife Robin, she said in an episode of 2024 that if she can guarantee “positive successful experiences”, she would again marry multiple times.
