The agency confirmed Wednesday when Trump was there as the US Secret Service missed finding a gun carried by members of President Donald Trump’s golf club in northern Virginia.

Members reported immediately afterwards, and reported that they carried the gun to Washington National Trump National Washington, DC on August 31, according to senior Secret Service officials.

The incident occurred about a year after two consecutive assassination attempts by Trump. This was the latest in recent times while playing at a golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“The Secret Service in the US takes the safety and security of our site very seriously and has a redundant layer of security built into everyone,” the agency said Wednesday.

The agency said internal review began after club members reported the guns last month.

“Video surveillance shows that club members were not physically close to the president’s location at any point while they were at the golf club,” the Secret Service said.

Secret Service employees involved in screening members with guns with handheld magnetometers were immediately removed from their operational obligations and were then placed on administrative leave until the results of the review were made,” the agency said.

Real Clear Politics first reported the incident, saying that club members had a Glock semi-automatic pistol in his bag, which was missed by the screener.

The man was “shaking and furious,” after realising that the Secret Service had failed to detect a firearm, reported true and clear politics.

Trump narrowly avoided being killed by a gunman at a presidential rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.

The then secret service director, Kimberly Cittle, resigned nine days later, and agency criticism over her failure to prevent a Trump shooting by the 20-year-old Tomasque Looks.

On September 15, 2024, an agent from the Secret Service opened fire on Ryan Rouse, a North Carolina man. He is said to have been waiting with a rifle outside Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach while Trump was playing there.

Rous was arrested a little further away.

The selection of ju judges in the case of Routh’s trial began Monday in the U.S. District Court in Fort Pierce, Florida.

He is charged with attempting to assassinate a major presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and firearm violations.
