VMAS2025: Aerosmith’s Stephen Tyler, Joe Perry, etc.
Prince of Darkness was given the proper VMAS sendoff.
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith led a musical homage to the late Ozzy Osbourne on September 7th of the MTV Video Music Awards.
But first, Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne appeared in a video message with the kids, saying, “I wish I could be with you tonight, celebrating Dad’s amazing musical journey. I know it’s incredibly happy to see these great musicians continue his legacy and help inspire the next generation of rockers.”
Yungblud started the show with a shirtless performance of “Crazy Train,” then moved to the ballad “Changes.” The Aerosmith musician was then in the spotlight for “Mom, I’m back home.”
“Time has passed, it may have been better friends for me / Mama, I might have come home,” sang Stephen, but the cross was illuminated by the purple light behind him. They cried out at the end of the tribute, “Ozzy Forever!”
