This week, unusual footage of an angry, 200-pound bear scanned with an MRI scan in Türkiye.
According to CNN’s Affiliate CNN Turk, the bear became ill after eating too many fruits and was taken to the Serapashan department of Istanbul University, where he was later released.
“Our bear, mama, was taken with stomach pain and abdominal discomfort. The vets at Sokemekoi’s rehabilitation center quickly noticed the kindness of the mama’s stomach area.”
“He went through a CT scan and checked the mass. However, the results of the CT scan returned cleanly and his blood count was also checked, so there was no problem.
Visitors enjoy watching him play at the Wildlife Park and recognizing him from the news.
This is not the first time my mother has eaten too many fruits. He received similar treatment three years ago. That’s also when he received the popular Turkish name, Makan.
“Three years ago, when our new employee went to the hospital and didn’t know the name of our bear, he immediately said, ‘I gave him my name, his name is mama.’
Wildlife Center workers continue to monitor the mama and keep adjusting his food to ensure he doesn’t cause tummy problems again.
“The veterinarians and biologists here are adjusting the food intake of animal friends. The amount does not change up or down. Machin now eats seasonal fruits and vegetables, and in the winter he eats bonito fish and honey,” Memishol said.
