Here’s what you need to know about the tournament teams and their full team:

Which teams are playing in the Asian Cup 2025?

In addition to five permanent members of the ACC (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan), three other teams are qualified for the 2025 edition, Hong Kong, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. They are each divided into four two groups.

Group A: India, Pakistan, Oman, UAE
Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong

Will Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma play in the Asian Cup in 2025?

no. The two former Indian captains announced their retirement after leading the team to their second T20 World Cup title in 2024 with the West Indies. This was Kouri’s first T20 world title.

Suryakumar took over the T20 Captain Cy Reins from Rohit in August 2024, but the likes of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill have replaced both top-notch batters.

India's Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma will celebrate the trophy after winning the final cricket match between the ICC Men's 20 World Cup 2024 World Cup 2024 India and South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridget Town, Barbados on June 29, 2024.

Who is Pakistan’s captain in the 2025 Asian Cup?

The nature of the revolving door of Pakistan cricket means that the captain’s hat changes hands or head quite quickly.

Batting star Babar Azam was given to him between 11 months of 2023-24 years and was taken away from him twice, with Mohammad Rizwan playing the role for five months.

Incumbent Salman Ali Aga took over in March, then led Pakistan to two series victory and one series defeat.

He will continue his leadership role in the Asian Cup.

Will Wainidu Hasaranga play in the Asian Cup 2025?

Yes, the Sri Lankan leg spin bowling all-rounder has been declared a tournament worthy of the game after recovering from a hamstring injury. The 28-year-old missed the 2023 edition at home and is keen to make an impact for Sri Lanka in search of the seventh Asian Cup title.
