JPMorgan said Moog is adding customers for aircraft, spacecraft and missile systems across multiple industries, driving the stock price higher. The bank has begun interviewing aviation and spacecraft systems manufacturers. The firm rated Moog Overweight and set a price target of $520, implying a 32% upside from Friday’s closing price. “The multi-year, pricing-driven transformation is tied to specific manufacturing choices rather than messaging, analyst Tomohiko Sano said in a client note on Monday. With its diversified exposure to aviation, industrial automation and AI-driven infrastructure, we see Moog as a resilient formulator positioned for revenue growth through (FY2028) and beyond, with sustainable value.” MOG.A YTD Mountain MOG. Moog has been designing and manufacturing high-precision steering controls and other systems used in several missile programs including PAC-3, THAAD and Tomahawk for the past year, and the analyst said missile production rates are expected to double or even quadruple in the coming years, which should push the company’s stock price even higher. “Moog is well-positioned to benefit from increased commercial aircraft (original equipment manufacturer) production, supported by large order backlogs from Boeing and Airbus,” he said, adding that U.S. investments in fighter jets such as the F-35 and tactical transport aircraft such as the MV-75 could also benefit Moog and its stock. The stock is up 61% since the beginning of the year, according to LSEG data.
