Last year was monumental to the American and beyond the AI ​​industry.

According to counts at TechCrunch, there were 49 startups raising more than $100 million in 2024. Three companies raised multiple “mega rounds,” while seven companies raised more than $1 billion rounds.

How will 2025 compare? With only a few weeks left in the third quarter, it appears that the momentum for 2024 will continue this year. There are already billion-dollar rounds this year, with multiple companies raising multiple mega rounds.

August

Healthcare and housing automation platform Eliseai has raised $250 million in the Series E round, which valued the startup at $2.2 billion. The round, announced on August 20th, was led by Andreessen Horowitz. Decart, an AI lab, raised $100 million at a valuation of $3.1 billion. Generic Media Platform Fal has raised a $125 million Series C round led by Meritech Capital Partners. On July 31, the company announced a round valued FAL at $1.5 billion.
