Josh Grisetti, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actor and Broadway star, dies at 44
Josh Grisetti’s loved ones are finding comfort in the outpouring of support.
After the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actor died by suicide on July 10 at the age of 44, Grisetti’s family spoke out publicly through a GoFundMe page created in Grisetti’s honor.
The page, created three days after his death, said: “Our hearts are deeply broken.” “Josh was a brilliant presence on Broadway, television, film and academia, leaving an indelible mark on creative communities around the world. The extraordinary outpouring of love from Los Angeles, New York, Virginia and beyond is moving evidence of the depth of his influence.”
Grisetti’s loved ones said they created the fundraising page after receiving many “generous questions” about how they could support the late actor’s wife, Mackenzie Grisetti, and her family.
They said any funds raised that were not “used for the express purpose of effecting closure and managing immediate end-of-production logistics” will be donated to the Entertainment Community Fund, which helps provide mental health services, crisis counseling and support groups tailored to life in the arts.
