Scott Blythe dies at the age of 68 after the ‘toughest’ battle with cancer, just as the world is turning him into a star
Scott Brice’s loved ones are celebrating his journey.
The family of Bryce, best known for his role as Craig Montgomery on As the World Turns, announced the news that he passed away on July 12th after a battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.
“God called my dad home today,” his son Jackson Bryce wrote on Instagram. “What started as stage 3 esophageal cancer eventually metastasized and became a brain tumor that took his life.”
But despite the challenges, Bryce’s son recognized the strength with which his father fought the disease.
“Through every moment of radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and pain, I watched my dad face it all with pride and courage, and an unwavering belief that somehow everything would work out and we would win,” he continued. “May his strength and unrelenting faith remain with me forever. He fought the toughest and most honorable battle I have ever witnessed.”
But as Jackson looks to the future, he takes comfort in his father’s legacy. Or, in his words, his father “lived a life worth celebrating.”
