How to pack for a summer trip
”When packing for a summer city trip, I always follow the three Cs: cuteness, comfort, and compactness,” c advises.celebrity stylist derek Warburton. “Travelling around the city means you have to go to different events at different times of the day, so you need to make sure your outfit is versatile, yet chic and comfortable.”
To achieve this, personal stylists Michelle T. Sterling suggests packing items that are casual yet classy. ”Simple slip dresses, breezy matching sets, and linen basics should all be in your suitcase.
Speaking of suitcases, you need to make sure that everything you pack matches to save valuable space. This way, you can easily put together an outfit without overpacking.
What is the key to the combination? “I keep the colors neutral, with just one pop of color. I also like fabrics that are easy to mix and match: linen on linen, cotton on cotton,” Sterling says.
Accessories are another way to easily breathe new life into stuffed items and transform your outfit from day to night.
“Pairing a lace camisole with an oversized linen button-up shirt makes it easy for daytime strolls. Take off the button-up shirt before dinner, add jewelry and another bag, and suddenly you have a complete evening look,” explains the wardrobe stylist. Elizabeth Grace Kelly.
