The summer house heads north.
The popular reality series “Bravo,” which concluded its 10th season last month, will get its own spinoff, “Summer House Canada,” NBCUniversal confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on July 9.
The series, scheduled to premiere in 2027, will be filmed in Muskoka, Ontario, a lakeside vacation village outside of Toronto, and will air on NBCUniversal’s international reality TV streaming platform, Hayu.
“We are excited to bring this adaptation of the preeminent Summer House format to market,” Hendrick McDermott, managing director and director of international consumer affairs for NBCUniversal, said in a July 9 statement. “Muskoka provides the perfect, iconic Canadian setting to introduce Summer House Canada and build on the series’ momentum.”
Erin Haskett, President and Executive Producer of Lark Productions in Vancouver, added: “Summer House has become a beloved worldwide franchise known for authentic friendships, great personalities and the unforgettable moments that come with spending summers together. We look forward to building on that by bringing the Canadian summer experience to fans around the world.”
Summer House’s popularity has soared amid the recent dating scandal surrounding West Wilson and former co-star Amanda Batula, who admitted they were dating in March.
