Steve Carell has already been nominated for 11 Emmys (10 for his work on The Office and one for his performance on The Morning Show), but he probably won’t mind if he gets signed for the 12th time for his role in Rooster. Again, awards are never the reason comedy stars are in this industry.
“When you start crying about not winning an award, you have to look at where you are and all the good things that have happened,” Carell told Vulture in 2014.
Keri Russell, who just earned her fifth Emmy nomination for “The Diplomat” and her eighth overall when adding in her nomination for “The Americans,” isn’t too depressed about not hearing her name called at the ceremony.
“It’s such a great feeling to be nominated and I’m always secretly grateful that I don’t have to talk about it publicly,” the actress, whose longtime boyfriend Matthew Rhys is hoping to add another Emmy to his three nominations this year, explained to Us Weekly in 2017. “I’m always secretly relieved. All the time. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Thank God.'”
Meanwhile, Jason Segel, nominated six times for The Shrinking, Janelle James, nominated five times for Abbott Elementary School, and Carrie Coon, nominated four times for The Gilded Age, are also hopeful that 2026 will be the year they finally receive their long-awaited statues.
However, the winners will not be announced until the 78th Emmy Awards. The awards will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay and will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on September 14th at 8pm EST on NBC and Peacock. Until then, keep reading to see more nominees who have never won an Emmy.
