Following a glimpse of her and Jonathan Owens’ date at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s wedding on July 3, followers questioned why the gymnast and her husband were on the guest list.
“When did Simone Biles and Taylor Swift talk?” a user wrote in Biles’ July 6 Instagram post.
In response, the Olympian took bold action, reminding social media trolls that her social circle is more flexible than they think.
“Remember this,” she replied, “I only show you what I want you to know.”
In the post, Biles, 29, and Owens, 30, proved they’re ready for the next chapter of Swift and Kelsea’s love story by coordinating maroon outfits.
For the couple’s big day, Biles wore a textured halter neck dress that featured a half train.
Meanwhile, Owens wore black dress pants, a white button-down shirt, and a crushed velvet jacket that perfectly matched Biles’ dress.
Biles captioned the post, “A perfect love story,” adding a nod to the newlyweds’ monogram: “The perfect night continues.”
