Jamie Foxx and his daughter Anneliese Bishop’s special duet at the 2026 BET Awards wasn’t just a dream.
“This is my daughter, Anneliese. Please stop,” the Oscar winner said as he introduced Kehlani, 17, who was playing guitar while she played the piano during Kehlani’s performance of “Fold.” He said the duo had been “obsessed” with the song all year.
He went on to sing a few bars of the hit song, which was nominated for Video of the Year and Viewer’s Choice. Kehlani has already won the award for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist at the June 28 show at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
However, it’s no surprise that the Fox family is full of talent, and Anneliese’s father has continued to praise her piano playing over the years, proof that her musical talent includes many talents.
“What was nice about it was that we were able to connect like that,” Foxx told Entertainment Tonight in 2020 about her then-11-year-old son’s shared interests. And she’s so good at playing the piano that she actually plays my songs while I sing. She said, “I’m going on tour with you.” I am blessed and so are we all. ”
