French football is mourning the death of a rising star.
Kenzo KeithPlayers who played for En Haban trained hard AS Saint-Étienne died on June 22 after drowning in the Rhône River near Lyon, France, the city’s public prosecutor’s office told French media. BFMTV. He was 21 years old.
Prosecutors told the media that Keith was swimming with two friends in an area of the river where swimming was prohibited, but was pulled from the water just after 5:30 p.m. local time on June 22.
Other members of Keith’s party were not injured, but Keith was taken to a hospital where he was declared brain dead, authorities told BFMTV.

After the tragedy, AS Saint-Etienne, where? Keith was part of a youth development program and gave a touching eulogy.
“The Green Generation is in mourning” AS Saint– Etienne wrote in a social media statement translated from French. “Kenzo Keith, a resident of the Robert Herban Sports Center for seven years, a talented athlete and well-liked quiet young man, lost his life under tragic circumstances.”
