A month after the NASCAR champion passed away at age 41, the lifestyle blogger penned an emotional tribute on Father’s Day, reflecting on how she and Kyle’s two children, Brexton, 11, and Lennix, 4, celebrated the holiday before his unexpected death.
On June 21, Samantha posted a touching video montage of family memories on Instagram, writing, “It still feels surreal. I spent all night thinking about what today would be like for Kyle and the kids.” “The Father’s Day cards I’ve already made are sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. I’m trying to figure out how to get through what should be a day filled with so much joy for them.”
“He was a father who never missed an opportunity to do something stupid,” she continued, “to race his kids around the neighborhood, to hold them in his arms, or to stay up a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more hour.”
The 40-year-old, who married Kyle in 2010, further praised her late husband’s dedication as a father, writing, “Nothing made me more proud of him than being the father of Brexton and Lennix.”
