Armie Hammer details how he let ‘very dangerous’ people into his life before being canceled

Armie Hammer is accountable.

The “Call Me By Your Name” star addressed his past actions that led to the derailment of his acting career in 2021. Hammer continued to deny the allegations of cannibalism, rape and physical abuse brought against him, but freely admitted that “these issues are of my own making.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on June 16, he said, “This didn’t happen by fluke. I didn’t do what people are saying. But I let some very dangerous, dangerous people into my life, and I offended people in my life. And now here we are.”

But the actor, who has emphasized personal growth in recent years, has no regrets about his impact on the public.

“I remember my emotional state and my mental state before everything happened. Healthy people don’t act the way I was acting,” the 39-year-old said. “I wish we had had the opportunity to do it in a gentler way, but at the end of the day, what you get is what you get.”
