Travis Barker opens up about how his romance with Kourtney Kardashian helped him heal from past trauma
Travis Barker recognizes the influence Kourtney Kardashian has had on his life.
In fact, the Blink-182 drummer, who survived a 2008 plane crash and flew for the first time in 2021, shared how the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star supported him through his deepest trauma.
“My wife gave me so much hope that I would fly again because I fell in love again,” Barker exclusively told E! Magazine. News at the world premiere of ‘Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear’ at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13. “And I believed I could do it, and now my kids are flying. It’s really insane.”
And Barker, who has two children, Alabama Barker, 20, and Landon Barker, 22, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and two-year-old son Rocky Thirteen Barker with Kardashian, has kids to be thankful for for being where he is.
“The power of love is amazing,” he said. “My children have been my strength since they existed.”
In 2008, a private plane carrying Barker, friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, assistant Chris Baker and security guard Charles Still crashed after a tire blew during takeoff. Baker, Still, and the plane’s two pilots died in the tragedy.
