James Harden is facing legal problems.
The NBA star was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in Houston, Texas, on June 13, according to Harris County court records obtained by multiple media outlets.
Harden, 36, was arrested around 3:40 a.m. ET after he was pulled over in downtown Houston, where officers found a handgun in his car that was not holstered but in plain sight, documents said. The Cleveland Cavaliers point guard was then taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor. He was released on bail hours later, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Harden’s bail conditions prohibit him from possessing firearms, ammunition or other weapons, according to court documents. In addition, players will be required to submit to unannounced urine tests prior to their scheduled court appearance on June 22, and will be prohibited from using or possessing alcohol, drugs or other controlled substances (including marijuana) unless prescribed by a doctor.
Eh! The News has reached out to Harden’s representatives for comment, but has not received a response.
