And as for how she feels about herself, the Gone Girl actress did something she learned to “avoid” as she grew up: single motherhood.
“The word itself can be sued as an insult,” she wrote. “Having a child with the wrong man was the quickest way to ruin a woman’s life. It meant no freedom, no choice, no emergency exit. All baggage and no security.”
To combat people’s tendency to “pity her,” Ratajkowski decided to change her lifestyle just “a week” after their breakup, throwing herself into dating “maniacs” and developing a new persona.
In her words, “I decided to walk the path of a new kind of woman. Before an eight-pound baby ripped my vagina in half, I wanted to destroy the Madonna that I had worked so hard to become and put a prostitute in her place.”
And the I Feel Pretty star, who has been linked with the likes of Pete Davidson, Eric Andre and Harry Styles since her split from Bear-McClard, highlighted how much her new approach to her love life has changed since before they got married.
“Before we separated, I had never had a one-night stand. I had never slept with someone the same day we met,” she explained. “In fact, I’ve only slept with eight people. Four of them were live-in boyfriends, and one of them was my male best friend from high school.”
