As for Longoria, she revealed that she lost a part of herself after the breakup.
In April 2011, she told Piers Morgan on CNN that it was “heartbreaking.” “I think it was disappointing because I had an identity of being Mrs. Parker and being a wife. So when that was taken away from me, I thought, ‘Who am I?'” And that was tough. ”
Still, the Flamin’ Hot director said he would “never say a bad word” about Parker or the time they spent together. While some may question romance in Hollywood, Longoria pointed out that trust is important for any couple, no matter the industry.
“People say, ‘Oh, he’s an athlete, you’re an actress,'” she continued. “If you’re a dentist and a lawyer, a secretary and a teacher, you need trust in any relationship outside of marriage. I loved the idea of marriage, I loved being a wife, I was very devoted and devoted. Everyone who knows me, all my friends, know that we tried very hard. We really, really tried, but it didn’t work out. We wanted different things.”
And as for Parker, “he’s not a bad person,” Longoria added. “He just wanted something different and I don’t hate him for that.”
However, she declined to elaborate on what led to the end of their relationship.
“I will never speak publicly about what happened or why we divorced because I love him,” the 51-year-old said. “We still talk. We’re still in each other’s lives.”
