Victoria Javadi takes off her black scrubs.
Actress Shabana Aziz, who played The Pit’s beloved medical student, has confirmed that her character will be heading into a new rotation in Season 3 of the HBO show, which is set four months after the Fourth of July events of Season 2.
Azeez, who has refrained from revealing much, admitted, “I can tell you I’m not in ER this season,” adding to Bustle in an interview published June 10, “Now that I’m done with my ER rotation, I’m doing my psychiatry rotation.”
After two seasons in which Javadi became an integral part of the emergency room at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, the change is a reminder of the reality the series must abide by. Although the exact length varies, most medical student rotations are only 4 to 12 weeks long. So Javadi’s time under the tutelage of Noah Wyle’s Dr. Michael Robinavich is long gone.
As for where he’ll go next, it’s no surprise that Javadi is headed to a mental hospital. As it turns out, the kid genius had a bit of a revelation in the Season 2 finale after he painted a picture for Dr. Whittaker (Jellan Howell) about the toll the ER was taking on his colleagues.
