All’s fair in love and war, but Simone Ashley is the 2026 Met Gala red carpet winner.
In celebration of the “Costume Art” exhibit, which focuses on the well-dressed body, the Bridgerton star walked up the iconic staircase at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 4 wearing nothing but a threaded silver chain.
Simone completed her nearly nude look with a bejeweled bracelet and this season’s diamond-dazzling chandelier earrings. (Click here to see all the Met Gala fashion.)
And this isn’t the 31-year-old’s first time attending fashion’s biggest night. She debuted in 2022 wearing a bronze bodice and black skirt with a dramatic Moschino train, in keeping with that year’s theme of “Golden Glamour”.
Two years later, Simone returned with a blue sequined dress by Prabal Gurung and a Rapunzel-like knee-length hairstyle for the 2024 Met Gala’s “Sleeping Beauty: Awakening Fashion” exhibit.
“The original idea was to take inspiration from Cher and create super long, floor-length hair,” hairstylist Shon Hyun-sung Joo told Vogue at the time. “But I took more inspiration from Botticelli’s hair and styled it into a goddess-like hairstyle with soft waves.”
