In April 2026, Kim temporarily lost primary physical custody of her and Kroy and four minor children, according to court documents obtained by E! news. A judge ruled at the time that the pair Croy will continue to share joint legal custody of the children, but will have final say on decisions regarding education, non-emergency medical care and religion.
Kim responded to the decision in a statement to E! news, say, “While I want nothing more than to see this process concluded for the sake of my children, I look forward to a full court date when we will finally have the opportunity to reveal the truth.”
Earlier this year, Kroy filed for permanent and sole legal and physical custody of the children multiple times, and in an April 2026 filing obtained by TMZ, Kim claimed: She is “insecure and unfit” as a parent and “selfishly concerned about her own image and career options rather than professional opinion and the best interests of her children.”
Kim’s lawyer denied the allegations to TMZ in April, saying: “(Croy’s) decision to file this motion lacks factual support and is unwarranted. We intend to address these allegations in the appropriate legal forum and vigorously defend the truth in court, not in public debate.”
